Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet community situated in The West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" location. This West Island, to those who have never heard of it, is a vast region that runs from Lachine all the way west. Amanda Brugel's birthplace is frequently cited, however her short time in the city wasn't. Brugel grew-up in Courtice close to Oshawa, Ontario. She wanted to become a professional dancer but due to a rapid growth spurt she outgrew every dance partner she met. The Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. In the last 20 years, the roles played by Brugel on television and the big screen have been numerous. Her role as Rita from the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in Season 1 which was viewed only occasionally.
